Hi - my name is Tess and I am 11. I learned to crochet during quarantine to pass to the time - it has turned into a passion that I would love to share - We are creating free beginning crochet kits for kids in our community. We spent a few weeks asking for community donations plus used our own money to create free beginner kits. We have created YouTube videos to correspond to the kits so kids can learn to crochet. We have 100 finger knitting kits for little kids (ages 5up) and 100 crochet kits (ages 10 up).
It's a great day to crochet!
Chain Stitch & Single Crochet Kits contain a crochet hook, sewing needle, beads, and balls of yarn. (small parts for kids 10 & up)- Finger knit Kit (for younger kids 5 & up) has assorted balls of yarn.
LIMIT 2 KITS PER FAMILY, so we can get them out to as many families as possible.
Subject to Availability - We only have 100 of each kit, but hope to be able to provide more - Located just inside the loop, south of Braeswood - 77025.
We know your kids will love to learn this new skill and start making things for their friends and family. Please specify Crochet or Finger knit.
Watch my video tutorials below... any one can learn!
To teach kids in our community to crochet. Our goal is to provide free kits with basic materials and instructions for learning crochet. I hope to pass on this fun life skill and get you hooked.
Your contribution will let us create more kits for Houston's kids who are stuck at home during the pandemic. You will help them learn a new skill and get them hooked on crocheting!
We are very grateful for your generosity.
